The Minnesota North Shore has provided me with fresh new inspirations this past year. This scene is located
north of Two Harbors, near the favorite and infamous Betty's Pies! The lighting along this vast lake is always
a unique surprise, especially near sunset. The cliffs radiate with warmth against the tones of blues in the reflective
waters of Lake Superior.

This is my first painting of 2012, a scene of the channel of the Beaver River on the Minnesota North Shore.
We took a 3 day journey up to Grand Marais, hitting some scenic spots along the way. The rushing rivers
from the wet spring were speeding towards Lake Superior at every overpass and bridge. The sound was loud
and the imagery was amazing.
