Recently, I had the opportunity to visit with a family and their friends in North Dakota. Their story is most unique of our day and time. The preservation of a breed of horse called Nokota, has become their lifelong quest. I watched the bands of horses interact as if there were no barriers or threat to freedom. What has been provided for them, makes time seem to stand still. This experience has evoked my senses to portray their gentle and free spirit with my paintings.
