"Egret
Island"
20"x20" Oil on Canvas
This small body of water was created by a watershed that
separates it from Steele Lake. It is a summer habitat for
egrets, heron, ducks and geese. |

"A
Blue Ribbon Day"
14"x11" Oil/Canvas
Juried into Salon International, Greenhouse Gallery
On a small ridge
overlooking a wetland, this spot is where my
fellow riders and I like to pause and let the horses munch on
grass while we chit chat and watch the trumpeter swan pair swim
around. And what is more perfect than that? |

|
"Evening
Mood"
12"x16" Oil/Canvas
The quiet peaceful west
side of Steele Lake promises you a
stage to view the summery and sultry setting sun. |
|

|
"Sun
Seeker"
24"x24" O/C
Steele Lake is near my home and one of my favorite places that
I like to go and watch the sunset or see a developing storm. |

"August
Moon, Two Harbors"
12"x24" Oil on Canvas
Two Harbors Minnesota is along the North Shore of Lake Superior. This
scene depicts a gentler mood of Lake Superior with an August moon resting
above like a pearl in a clamshell. |

|
"Easter
Morning"
11"x14" Oil on Canvas
Springtime arrives. When the earth is still freezing cold and the
air begins to warm, a misty morning can often be witnessed
with all of its subtle tones. Its a quiet time, sounds are muted,
tranquility inspires. |

|
"Hidden
Falls"
24"x12 Oil/Canvas
Amacon State Park in
Wisconsin is the location and inspiration
for this painting. With the difficulty of viewing the whole
falls
from the roadside, I strayed from my references to create this
waterfall scene in my own interpretation and sense of drama.

"Beaver
Pond Paradise"
14"x18" Oil on Canvas
In northern Minnesota's Chippewa National Forest is a site
known as The Lost Forty. This is a parcel of land with 200-
300 year old white and red pine trees that was saved from the
loggers ax because of a survey mistake back in the late 1880's.
Following a hiking trail through the forest we came upon a beaver
dam in this beautifully serene bog. |

|
"Beach
at Silver Bay"
9"x24" Oil on Canvas
A private beach along the shores of Silver Bay, on Minnesota's
beautiful North Shore. |
|

|
"Sunrise,
Lake Superior"
16"x20" Oil on Canvas
The rugged coastline of Lake Superior's North Shore is an ideal
setting for this cabin view and is the essence of an "up north"
experience. |

"Cloud
Play"
18"x24"

Playful clouds with scattered thunderstorms create
a beautiful pattern of lights and darks on Pelican Lake's
calm and shallow waters. Known as a waterfowl sanctuary,
the 5100 acre wetland is located between Buffalo and
St. Michael Minnesota.
